Clay Rodgers, a native of Kennesaw, GA, is currently based in Acworth and is an accomplished double bass player with extensive proficiency in other string instruments, including viola, violin, and cello. His musical journey began in middle school, where his passion for the violin was sparked by a desire to perform "The Final Countdown" as a duet with a friend. Since then, Clay has dedicated himself to the double bass, earning a degree in Music Education from Kennesaw State University, where he studied under renowned musicians Joseph McFadden and Karl Fenner of the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra.
Clay’s diverse performance experience spans youth ensembles, church events, professional stages across several states, and pit orchestras for musical productions such as My Fair Lady, The Little Mermaid, and Hairspray. He has also performed solo concerts, showcasing his skill and versatility as a bass player.
In teaching, Clay draws from both his formal education and real-world performance experience to create a dynamic, engaging, and enriching environment for his students, helping them grow as musicians each week. Outside of music, Clay enjoys exploring his culinary skills in the kitchen and spending time outdoors, appreciating the beauty of nature.
